Kids were wonderful. Excited to be wearing a uniform for the first time, very few tears getting up so early in the morning. Both were a little unsure about meeting new people, but came through the day with aplomb. Jaime hardly acknowledged us when we walked out of the class, and Jack started making mates from the first minute - he came home the first day to tell us he had won one of the races during PE, and that he had a new best friend called Jeremy.

OMG!!! How gorgeous do the kids look in their school uniform! Jeepers, a 7.35am start in the morning is horrendous! What time do they finish? Poor Jack & Jaime having to start school so early in the year, kids over here aren't back till February or something ridiculous like that!
Well done to Jack for winning the race!
Yeah Jack, Well done for winning the race. Good to hear that you are doing so well already. Starting that early is a bugger though. We only just get up at that time. But you both look really smart in your uniforms. It almost looks as good as our school uniform. We still have 3 more weeks of holidays, so it was bad news that you had to start school already.
Lots of love from Anita, Ben and Erik
Yay for you guys on your first day of school. I am very glad that I am not a teacher over there, I don't think that my mood would be that flash at the end of the week either with starts that early!!!! Well done on winning the race Jack, speedy wee thing. I knew you would make friends easily, and you look really great in your new uniform! You show those teachers how clever you are!

Wonderful to see all the Oman photos! Ross is worried that you might have got sand in your eyes! We hope not! Brian, Ali and their three children loved Oman when they were living in Jordan for three years....how lucky you all are! Our NZ summer is lovely this year. This evening we picked twenty beautiful roses from our Double Delight standards and they are living up to their name! Enjoy your adventures. Love Ross & Annxxx
